Mortgage Rates – April 11, 2026

Mortgage rates improved this week after the US and Iran announced a ceasefire Tuesday. Still, rates are a ways off from pre-war levels and the fragility of the deal is keeping markets volatile.
Next week keep an eye on any economically consequential news. Anything concerning the war, employment, inflation, tariffs, and deficit funding are massively influential. Housing sales numbers drop Monday, with a highly anticipated core ppi update Tuesday.
If you missed out on lower rates in February, I would strongly recommend finding a lender to get pre-approved so you can lock when the time is right.
