Mortgage Rates – April 1, 2026

Not fooling, mortgage rates are trending downward after a rough month of volatility due to the US war in Iran. With the Trump administrations language softening, investors are betting a pull out is imminent which should stabilize global markets.
This Friday we will have fresh jobs numbers and next week inflation data. Keep a close eye on Friday as any numbers missing or exceeding expectations will have a great impact for the week of April 6th. If you missed out on lower rates in February, I would strongly recommend finding a lender to get the ball rolling. If anything in this world is consistent, it is that the window of opportunity to lock your rate may be short lived
